Participate
Thank you for your interest in participating! Unfortunately, recruitment for the pilot study is now closed.
For our study, participants of the same gender and similar age will participate in simulations in pairs. Using a brief questionnaire, we will ask participants separately about their experience. Verbal answers to questionnaires will be audio-recorded, and simulations will be videotaped and recorded via GoPro camera. Your privacy will be protected, your participation will last approximately 1-2 hours total, and your simulation will be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you.
Participants will receive a $25 gift card for your participation.
Requirements for participation:
- You must be UNC-CH Student/Faculty/Staff.
- You must be fluent in English.
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
- You must be able to jog continuously for 2 minutes and have no history of any of the following:
- Cardiovascular disease
- A medical condition that would exclude moderate physical activity for 2-3 minutes
- Chest, arm, shoulder, or jaw pain
- Shortness of breath
- Fainting or dizziness
